SOME THINGS TO LOOK FORWARD TO |
GUEST SPEAKER - Our guest speaker on Friday evening will be Don Wright. He is an ex-pilot and the author of a book called Life Is a Piece of Cake: A Whisper from the Silent Generation. Don was In flight 4734 and joined us over the winter. He is Life member Number 4147. Click here for Don’s Bio |

FRIDAY TOUR. We are not offering a bus tour this year. Our bus guy has priced us out of having one. |
Base Tour: Have you wondered where the Base Auditorium was located? How about your Barracks, BX, Mess Hall, Drill Hall, and other "landmarks" you remember so well, but are at a loss regarding their location? Over 200 people took last year’s tour and rediscovered the base. We will be scheduling one (1) hour bus tours narrated by Association members for Reunion attendees, and visitors, to re-visit all your favorite Sampson haunts. Personal requests will be accommodated - providing, of course, they're 'on-base'. This year we are scheduling a trip to the old hospital area. The number of these one (1) hour tours will be determined by the number of attendees wishing to take the tour. |
Reunion Headquarters. The headquarters for this year’s reunion will again be the Waterloo, NY Holiday Inn. We have reserved 125 sleeping rooms (we have also reserved rooms at other motels/hotels in the area, see list and prices included), and a Hospitality Room where you can eat goodies and partake of your favorite beverage. |
As with last year's reunion, we anticipate many attending the 2009 Reunion for the first time. Therefore, in an attempt to help people feel comfortable and to get to know who is who, we are scheduling another "Mixer" Thursday evening starting at 5:30 PM. We are confident this will set the stage for everyone present to get-to-know more attendees and contribute to a memorable Reunion. |

For those arriving early, the Hospitality Room at the Holiday Inn will be open around 2:00 PM on Wednesday and stay open until around 11:00PM. We are planning an old-fashioned hamburg and hot dog cookout Wednesday evening at the museum for all early comers. We have hired a bus to provide transportation from the Holiday Inn to the museum and back for Wednesday evening. The bus will leave the Holiday Inn at 5:00 PM. Your Association will pick up the tab for the cookout. |

Lunch will be served at the Park Recreation Room. You will be treated to some of the best eating you have ever experienced. We will head back to the Holiday Inn in time to clean up and attend a mixer before the buffet diner. Dress for the buffet diner will be casual. |
