Yesterday and today for the first time since I joined the SAFBVA I met two ex Sampson guys here in good old Cuyahoga Falls. Yesterday at the gym I met a guy who went through Sampson in 51. Today I had to go to the drug store, when I came out a guy was waiting for me , said I was the first one he had seen who went through Sampson, he went through in 52. I told them about our site hoping they might join, who knows, they just might.

Yo, Dave....It took the Brits until 2006 to repay the megamillions we gave to them before, during and after WW2. Most of the rest of European allies wanted to base their repayments on reparations they got from the Nazi group who, of course had nada. So the good ol' USA was left holding the bag again. But, no sweat, now that Lebanon, Croatia, Uganda, Viet Nam and other enlightened nations are on the UN Security Council (temp) we can expect to get repaid pronto!

What I'll never understand is how other countries can knock the U.S.A. We have either rebuilt the countries we were at war with or helped the ones we were friendly with and very few have said even a thank you .

Hey, Troops......I see on the calendar that today is "United Nations Day. IMHO, what started out as a way to get nations to cooperate in peaceful problem-solving has turned into a voice for America-haters. Pres. Obama has been quoted as in favor of a "world government" I don't think I want some Yangtse Yahoo teling us that we can't burn wood or drill for our own oil. Got to keep an eye on this matter.

I continued my insurance with the company I was insured with before I enlisted. However when I was at Ft. Belvoire Va. if your car wasn't required to have a inspection in your home state you had to get a Virgina inspection sticker. NH had this requirement so I didn't have to get one. At that time I think NH was stricter that VA.

Going to A&E School in Tillamook ,Oregon, we had a lot just outside the Main Gate. There were many Junkers parked there because of not having Insurance. On a rainy night, it was a long wet walk to the Barracks.

I only had two cars and those were while I was at Altus AFB. I do remember having to have insurance but, I can’t remember where I bought it or how much I paid for it. After Altus I didn’t bother getting another car, too much of a hassle, there was always other forms of transportation.
